The team for the NCF Global Project departed for Uganda just a few days after the bombings in Kampala on July 11. “Throughout our journey, God reminded us that he is present in Uganda and is working mightily among his people there to bring hope, healing and restoration,” said Renee.

  • LAUP - Faith Made Real

    Have you ever seen the difference between a person who knows about God versus the person who knows God? It’s easy to know a lot about God and still not have much to offer this world. But when you come across a person who has first-hand experience with God’s power to bring real change—well that’s the kind of person I want to be around. This past summer God used InterVarsity’s Los Angeles Urban Project (LAUP) to take 50 students from knowing a lot about God to really knowing him.

  • Move-In Week

    Campus traffic jams are common at schools across the country this time of year, as incoming freshmen and returning upperclass students arrive to claim their housing and get settled for the start of classes. At James Madison University (JMU) in Harrisonburg, VA, as at many campuses, InterVarsity students are right in the middle of the traffic, volunteering to help with the move-in and eager to meet new students.

  • New Home Renovation

    Sara Zahn and her roommate are lucky to have a spacious corner room on the first floor of their dorm at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, a room most residents have to pass to reach the stairs. But the homey atmosphere of colorful posters, Christmas light decorations, and comfy couches is their own creation. Whenever they’re in, they keep their door open, a bucket of candy on their coffee table, and a vast array of movies ready to pop in.

    We’re preparing future leaders to serve people.

    InterVarsity is a Christian ministry to college students and faculty.  We call people to a relationship with Jesus Christ, train them in our campus-based witnessing communities to be Christ’s disciples, and develop in them gifts for servant leadership in the world. Within our campus witnessing communities, students learn to study the Bible, share the gospel, and help others in need.
